Rev. Bishop is the founder and senior pastor of LifeQuest Urban Outreach Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since 1998, he has led this purpose-driven ministry, originally known as a “church without walls,” to serve urban young men and their families. Under his leadership, LifeQuest has become a vital community hub, offering programs like Night Quest, Saving Our Sons, Brother-2-Brother, and the HOPE Initiative.

Rev. Bishop transitioned into full-time ministry after a successful career in corporate sales with Fortune 50 companies. He has served under influential pastors such as Bishop William C. Abney and Dr. Clifton Rhodes Jr., and has been a member of the Grand Rapids Association of Pastors (G-RAP). His ministry is characterized by a holistic approach, addressing the mind, body, and soul of individuals.

In 2024, Rev. Bishop was honored as a GIANT Among Giants by Grand Rapids Community College, recognizing his significant contributions to the community . He is also the author of Transforming Urban Lives and has served on various boards, including the founding board of Abney Academy, one of Michigan’s first charter schools.

Beyond his pastoral duties, Rev. Bishop is an advocate for urban development, fatherhood, racial equity, and community safety. He continues to lead LifeQuest with a vision to empower individuals and transform communities through faith and action.
